The Verve and Metallica in Headline battle

It is possible that the metal band, Metallica could be playing one of the headline slots. The rumours assume that they will play instead of The Verve, making the headliners Metallica, Rage Against the Machine and Kasabian.

I personally would like to see a British band in their headlining but Metallica will put on an awesome show.

i would much rather see metallica because they are awesome live what i`ve seen of them and they have far better songs.

Metallica would be class - certainly some decent music from an established act… it’s what Reading needs. Less NME bands for sure.

Saw Metallica at Live Earth, them and the Foos were simply heads above the rest. Be awesome if they played Reading.

well it won’t be the Verve as it’s been confirmed the headliners are all yanks. metallica would rule though!

MATALLICA are in my top 5 bands ever and they and audioslave are the only bands in my top 5 i havent seen so i would love to see them play sunday

the verve r gr8 but r not head liners
and they cant hold a candle to METALLICA

Now Verve headlining Glastonbury, hopefully it’s a clear run for Metallica. Oh YES!!!

Yes, the Verve have now been confirmed to headline Glastonbury so its looking more likely that Metallica will get the slot. Thanks for the comments John and readingrockess!
