Have you Heard About The Strokes?
Have you heard the latest information about The Strokes?
Well apparently they could be making an appearance at Leeds Festival 2008. Various websites including virtualfestivals.com and efestivals.com have marked the band as a rumour. The New York band that formed in 1998 have been credited as “Saving rock” and “Starting a garage-rock revival.”
I’ve been trying to gather some information about the rumour. It appears that the last album they released was First impressions from Earth, nearly a year ago. A little too far away to still be touring. Does anyone know if they have something new coming out?
Want the Foo Fighters at Reading Festival?
Do you want to see the Foo Fighters as part of this years Leeds Festival lineup? Well you have a good chance of seeing them according to virtual festivals.
The Grammy award winning American rock band are rumoured for a headline slot.
Reading Festival Nominated for Award
Reading Festival has been shortlisted for the “Best live event” category by NME this year. Interestingly the festival weekend was also nominated last year.
In order to claim the Title, Reading Festival will have to fend off fierce competition from the likes of Glastonbury Festival, V Festival and T in the Park.
The Coral Could Play Reading Festival
The Liverpool based band, The Coral have been rumoured a slot at this years Leeds Festival weekend. Interestingly this is the second Liverpool based band that have been rumoured this week, the other act being The Wombats.
The last album that the Coral released was “Roots & Echoes” on August 6th 2007, a little old to be promoting at this years summer festivals. However, they do have a rich and diverse back catalog which I’m sure they could still use to please a big crowd. Songs such as “Dreaming of You” and “In the Morning” really are timeless.
