Rage Blast Reading With Political Set

rage against the machineRage Against the Machine rocked the Reading Festival stage with a politically fueled set this weekend.

The band entered the stage dressed in orange jumps suits and black bags covering their heads, a probable reference to US foreign policy, say the BBC.

The band then proceeded to play their opening song, Bombtrack in the controversial costumes.

In between songs, singer Zack De La Rocha also ranted about Bush’s actions abroad, saying that his “whole system(in Iraq) depends on death and war to survive”.

Their set was filled with all the classic Rage Against the Machine songs such as Know Your Enemy and Bullet in the Head.

What an outrage that the BBC in its “political correctness” refrained from showing any of the RATM material in the Reading coverage! What ever happened to freedom of speach!

I couldn’t make it to Reading and was appalled that I had to resort to mobile phone footage on YouTube to see the band!

If you two actually read stuff, you’d know RATM did not allow BBC to show any footage.
