Oasis Look More Likely For Reading Festival 2009

Oasis look a little more likely for Reading Festival 2009 after band member Noel Gallagher revealed that the band have no intentions of playing at Glastonbury Festival this year.
Gallagher commented on the festival in a recent press release in Wembly, explaining that Glastonbury is fun to be at but not loud enough to play at.
could this now make them more likley for Reading Feastival? Please leave a comment!

I would love to see Oasis live at a festival, i think their songs were basically designed for large crowds.

I dunno - never really appealed to me. Not very exciting. You can’t compare them to QOTSA, NIN, RATM, Metallica etc… not in the same league IMHO

hmm i dunno, i reckon you would get more people singing along to Oasis than pretty much any other band. They are difficult to compare i guess, Brit pop always has a bit of a “this is alright but not very cool” vibe about it. Probably because it was big about 10years ago lol.
I think oasis would go down really well, but yeah I can see what you mean about them not really being a ’super group.’

I think it would be great, just as long as they turn the volume up on the speakers next year, F****** Reading City Council, wonderwall has to be blasting out at at least ten billion decibels.

yeah I agree, I think Oasis would be awesome to sing along to. They have so many anthems that would work really well to a festival crowd
