Beware Of Unofficial Ticket Sites, Warn Reading
The official Reading Festival website, (Albeit a little plain at the moment) has released some very important news about some unofficial ticket selling websites that should not be trusted.
“WARNING: Beware of unauthorised ticket agencies!
A number of people have contacted us to enquire about the website BOOKMETICKETS.com and whether that site will have any official tickets for Festival Republic events (Reading & Leeds festivals, Latitude festival).
Please note that BOOKMETICKETS.com are NOT AUTHORISED by us to sell our event tickets, we have not supplied them with any official tickets to sell and we have no relationship with them at all. Therefore we would not advise buying tickets for our events from them”

Klaxons Become Strong Rumour For Reading Festival
The Klaxons have become a strong rumour for Reading Festival, after the band announced that this summer they want to play as many British festivals as they possibly can.
They had previously been a weak rumour, so this news helps make their chance of playing all the more likley.
The band have new album material written which should be released in time for Christmas 2008, and they are apparently itching to make their mark back in the UK after an extensive tour abroad.
AC/DC Strong Rumour For Reading Festival 2008
AC/DC are looking likely for Reading Festival 2009 after the band’s new album was promoted at the 2008 festival.
The Australian rock band have apparently turned down a slot at Download Festival 2009, so the Reading Festival Weekend looks like the only other option.
We’ll post some more information on this as soon as we find it, but at the moment its looking pretty likely that they will snatch one of the headline slots.

Kings of Leon Hot For Reading Festival Headline Slot
The Kings of Leon are looking likely for a headline slot at Reading Festival 2009 after Festival Republic released a news letter this week.
The newsletter explained how the festival and gig organising company had arranged tour dates for the American band. Although the news letter didn’t specifically say that the band would be playing at Reading, it seems likely as Festival Republic also organise Reading!
Other sources on the internet have also been reporting that the band will be playing, including British Festival News. With their previous history of the Festival weekend added to this, Kings of Leon look very likely to play.
