New Stage Announced For Reading Festival 2008
Reading Festival will have a new stage this year. The ‘Festival Republic’ stage will replace the Carling stage as Carling no longer sponsor the music event.
The official Reading Festiival website describes the stage as, “the first port of call for anyone looking to see the next big things now.”

Ida Maria Confirms Reading Festival On Myspace
The Norwgian rock sensation Ida Maria, has confirmed her slot at Reading Festival via her official myspace page. (www.myspace.com/idamaria)
She has placed herself down for the 22nd of August which means she will be playing on the Friday. The stage has not yet been specified.
Cage The Elephant Self-confirm Reading Festival 2008?
A band called Cage the Elephant have self-confirmed themselves for Reading Festival 2008.
So far there has been nothing posted on their official myspace page, www.myspace.com/cagetheelephant but other sources have been reporting that this band will play. There is also quite a large gap in their tour where Reading is!
Does it Offend You, Yeah? confirmed For Reading!
The dance and electro band ‘Does it Offend You, Yeah?’ have confirmed their slot at Reading Festival 2008.
The band announced the date on their official myspace page (www.myspace.com/doesitoffendyou).
More Bands Added To Reading Festival Line-up
Six More bands have been added to the Reading Festival line-up.
The Plain White T’s and Mindless Self Indulgence have been added to the main stage, Pete and the Pirates’ have been confirmed for the Radio one/NME tent and finally three acts have been added to the lock up bill, These are Tiger Army, The Briggs and Blackhole.

Simian Mobile Disco To Play Reading Festival
Simian Mobile Disco are another Electronic band that have recently confirmed themselves for Reading Festival 2008.
The band have announced the slot on both their Myspace profile and their official website.
They will play on the 24th of August as well.
Although the band by definition are electronic, their Myspace profile says that they will be playing live.
Digitalsim Confirm Reading Festival Slot
Digitalism are the first in a wave of electronic acts, to confirm themselves for Reading Festival 2008.
The band announced the slot on their Myspace page.
They will be performing on the 24th of August and I assume they will be on the dance stage.
